Jednosmjerna (UD) tkanina dizajnirana je s primarnim, dugim strukturnim vlaknima koja su usmjerena u jednom smjeru, pričvršćena sekundarnim, nestrukturnim šavovima. Ova orijentacija omogućuje da se vlakna postave u komponentu točno tamo gdje su potrebna, optimizirajući i položaj i količinu vlakana.

Strukturna orijentacija može se postaviti na 0° ili 90°, pružajući fleksibilnost za ojačanje specifičnih područja unutar komponente za maksimalne performanse.
