Briksy Carbon
solidian Briksy is a high-performance, non-corrosive reinforcement system designed for masonry walls and floor screeds, ensuring superior stability and long-term durability.
With its robust AR glass or carbon fiber mesh and easy on-site application, solidian Briksy enhances load-bearing capacity, provides effective crack control, and improves overall structural safety – both in masonry joints and horizontal screed layers.
This product is suitable for a wide range of construction projects – from residential and commercial to industrial applications. Whether you're reinforcing masonry walls or cement-based floors, solidian Briksy delivers safety, performance, and reliability at every stage of construction.
solidian Briksy carbon is tested according to EN 846-2 as bed joint reinforcement and CE-certified for screed reinforcement according to EAD 260057-00-0303.
Product Features
- High Performance: Effectively reinforces masonry walls and floor screeds, minimizing the risk of cracks caused by stress, shrinkage, or thermal expansion.
- Easy Installation:A flexible mesh available in roll form (custom widths available), easy to handle on-site and simple to cut to required length – no specialized tools needed.
- Non-Corrosive: Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, Briksy offers long-term resistance to corrosion and environmental influences – ideal for screeds in wet areas and exposed wall joints alike.
- Enhanced Stability: In masonry, it strengthens in-plane flexural capacity and reinforces against out-of-plane movement – particularly useful in seismic regions. In floors, it ensures dimensional stability and durable crack resistance.
- Lightweight and Compact: Easily transported and handled on-site, reducing labor time and logistic complexity – especially beneficial in renovation projects or hard-to-access areas.
- Available in Various Widths: Briksy adapts to project needs with a range of mesh openings and widths – suitable for narrow screed areas, edge zones, and full-surface applications.
Product Applications
Horizontal Wall Application: Install solidian Briksy in at least one horizontal mortar layer every 500 mm within masonry walls, following NTC 2018 guideline for regions with moderate to high seismic risk.
Wall Positioning: For optimal structural performance, place Briksy at critical wall areas such as top and bottom of masonry structure, openings, and joints to enhance in-plane flexural strength and overall wall integrity.
Screed Application: For floor screeds, embed Briksy within the upper third of the screed thickness to control crack formation, particularly in edge zones, around service penetrations, or across wide screed surfaces. Ensure compliance with national screed reinforcement guidelines and CE requirements (EAD 260057-00-0303).
Corrosion Resistance: Briksy is non-corrosive and designed for long-term durability in both indoor and outdoor environments, making it ideal for screed applications exposed to moisture or chemicals.
Optimal Bonding: Whether used in walls or floors, Briksy must be fully embedded in mortar or screed material to ensure strong bonding and long-lasting structural performance.
